The surgery is open from 8.15am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday and is closed Saturdays, Sundays, and Bank Holidays. Surgeries are run Monday to Friday. Consultations with a specific Doctor are by appointment only which can be made by telephone or at reception during normal surgery hours. You can book well in advance for non-urgent appointments. However, if you need to can an appointment, please remember to do so as soon as possible. Children under 16 should be accompanied by an adult and separate appointments are needed for each family member.
Out of Hours Service Between the hours of 6.30 pm and the following 8.00 am on weekdays and weekends and Bank holidays, emergency calls are handled by Urgent Care Service Dorset & Somerset (UCSDS). If your medical problem is not urgent, please telephone our practice during normal opening times or call NHS Direct on 0845 4647 for general health advice. However, if you need medical help outside of our practice hours, you can either telephone our practice as ususal on 0844 477 3101 and press 1 to be connected to the out of hours service or you can call them direct on 0845 600 1013. You will be offered telephone advice, a consultation at the local treatment centre or a home visit.
Healthstone Medical Limited However, on Saturdays the surgery provides appointments all day via a cooperative with other local surgeries called Healthstone. These Saturday appointmnts are bookable throughout the week at Rosemary Road and occur at either Heatherview Medical Centre or Madeira Road Surgery depending on the week listed here. |
